Simply the best pizza in Aix en Provence. The pizza is rustica romana so a very thick crust. Every day they have different kinds and the regular flavors are tomato mozzarella, potato (no sauce no cheese). My favorite one has to be the one with mortadella they do sometimes. My wife’s favorite one is tomato sauce and anchovies

- Las Casas Empanadas – €€
Eduardo and his wife make scrumptious empanadas. They have empanadas, ceviche, and a cazuela del momento (plat du jour) every day. For example this week there are 5 regular kinds of empanadas (beef, chicken, veggie, vegan and cheese) and 1 porchetta, ricotta y pecorino. The cazuela of the week is sopa de tortillas y camarones (tortilla soup with shrimp). It’s a very welcoming place.

- Tita – €€
They call it Mediterranean street food, which is a pretty good description. Some of the best hummus and falafels I’ve ever had. Whether you want keftas, a shawarma or baba ganoush it’s the perfect spot in Aix en Provence.

- Le Verre Levé – €€€
My personal favorite if I want to have a glass of wine with lunch. They have a “plat du jour” as well as other small dishes. One of their specialties is sausages and potatoes, for example the partouze sausage, which is a mix of all the leftover sausage meats from the butcher. I personally love the merguez sandwich for lunch in the summer. They offer a variety of vins SAINS (Sans Auncun Intrant Ni Sulfite), which means natural wines without sulfites.

- Nguyen Than – €
If you’re in the mood for Asian street food, this is the place to go. From a simple bo bun, pho to nems and I especially recommend their spring rolls, definitely the best I’ve ever had in France. It’s takeout only.
